1930's Rolls Royce "Tommy"
We had this 1930's Rolls Royce, known by the family as "Tommy" in from a repeat customer. https://goshawkengineering.co.uk/ This car was brought in needing some paint work, however unlike their other Rolls Royce we restored, they wanted to keep as much of the character as possible. According to the history of this car it had never been restored which is incredible given the condition of it and it ran so smoothly. There were a few areas which we repaired but we kept as many of the cars quirks as possible as per the customers wishes.
The rear of the car when it came in, the main area we focussed on was the roof.
This 1930's Rolls Royce, known by the family as "Tommy" was brought in needing some paint work repairs, however, the owners wanted to keep as much of the character as possible.
The car had extensive instructions on how to get it started, this was just one page of around 5!
We also were shown this book which was a mileage record dating back to 1957, it is so special to see some history of a car like this.
The customer also wanted some wheels painted with a matching coachline to the body of the car so Ryan worked to mask out the right size after doing the coach line colour.
The wheels were then painted black.
The finished look of the wheels. The customer was waiting for some new tyres before getting these fitted.
The roof and top part of the body of the car after having some prep and the new coat of paint applied.
The rear side view of the top of the car after the new coat of paint was applied. Gorgeous finish straight from the gun before polishing.

The car all finished ready to go back to its owner.
We had a dry day so took advantage of some pictures outside while we waited for the owner to arrive to drive this piece of history home.
Off it goes back home with a happy customer again thanks to Ryan and Deans hard work at getting the right finish.
The completed car back at home.
The rear of the car really showing off the shine on the roof.
"Tommy" all finished, complete with a newly painted roof but maintaining its other quirks and personality that the customer really wanted to keep as part of the history of this incredible vehicle.
